Mold/Mildew Testing:

The Mold Investigation Process
We begin the investigation by touring your building and determining areas vulnerable to moisture. This includes areas where leaks, condensation, or high humidity may be present. We then conduct pre-abatement mold tests to collect air samples. If visible mold is present, then a bulk sample is collected. An outdoor air sample is collected as a control measure. This helps us determine if mold growth is originating indoors. During the investigation, a host of instrumentation can be utilized with:
• Thermal Imaging Cameras
• Digital Photos
• Moisture Meters
• Infrared Temperature Readings

InterNachi Standards of Practice does not require home inspectors to walk on the roof during an inspection. But, we try to get on every roof to inspect it with our own eyes. Sometimes it’s not possible due to weather conditions, roofing materials, height and/or steep pitches.  So, we added “Nemo” to the team!
"Nemo" is a Quadcopter Drone.  He has a GPS Flight Mode that allows us to send him on a mission to provide you an aerial view of your new home. When he is not having fun taking aerial shots, he is assisting us with the inspection of your roof. He can loiter, which means we can let go of the controls, and he remains stationary.  This allows us to inspect through the live feed of the on-board camera and not concentrating on keeping Nemo in the air.
Does Nemo Cost Extra?
No! As stated above, we do not use Nemo on every roof inspection, but we do try to provide you with an aerial view of your new home, weather permitting. We do not charge extra for using Nemo. He is part of our arsenal of tools used during our inspections and part of our team
